Masha received her very first Babushka doll on her first birthday — a gift from her mother. She was just a little girl, but that tiny set of nesting dolls stayed with her. What began as one special birthday gift grew into a lifelong love that never really went away.
In 2006, Masha turned that love into Dolls In Dolls, with one simple wish: to share the beauty, history and magic of these little dolls with other people — and to give them the chance to experience that same feeling she had with her very first set.
Even today, Masha still sources our Matryoshka dolls herself, directly from Russia, and finds pieces she believes are special enough. She personally photographs each doll for our shop, making sure what you see is the very doll you’ll receive.
And her own collection? It has grown to more than 809 pieces. At this point, we’ve stopped trying to convince her to slow down — she just can’t help falling in love with another doll.
