The name comes from Matryona, symbolising motherhood and family, while “Babushka” (grandmother) is the familiar nickname.

This set is Museum Quality — the highest tier of Matryoshka craftsmanship, created by master artists using finer brushwork, richer detail and a level of precision reserved for serious collectors and display pieces.

At Dolls In Dolls, we take great care to understand and verify the origins of every Matryoshka doll we offer. Every doll we stock represents traditional Russian craftsmanship:

✔ Hand-turned on a lathe by a master craftsman
