Pyrography-style babushkas where the design is burned into the wood before painting, giving each doll extra depth, texture and a warm, rustic finish. Every piece is still turned from kiln-dried timber on a lathe, fitted uniquely to its matching half, hand-finished and signed by its artist. Wood-burned Babushkas combine traditional Russian nesting-doll craftsmanship with pyrography — the technique of creating decorative designs by burning lines directly into wood.

The burned artwork creates depth and contrast before the artist adds colour by hand. Natural timber remains visible through the design, giving woodburn Matryoshka a distinctive warm and rustic appearance.

Each finished set is Russian-made, hand-turned, individually fitted and signed by the artist.
